Regular Member jg23 Posted January 24, 2018 Regular Member Posted January 24, 2018 Currrently, I have taken for fin for 3 months (proscar 1.25 Mon/Wed/Fri) and have seen some growth and no sides. Would there be any advantages to increasing the dosage to 1.25/daily for a 6 month cycle to increase growth? After the 6 months I would go back to the 1.25 Mon/Wed/Fri schedule. What are your thoughts guys?
Senior Member E39 Posted January 24, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 24, 2018 I wouldn’t up the dose for a while then lower it. Find the dosage routine you want and stick with it.
Senior Member mattj Posted January 24, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 24, 2018 Personally I think you should stick with what is working for you already, and if you've experienced regrowth then it's definitely working well. I wouldn't upset that and increase the risk of side effects. The dose you're taking is effective (in fact lower doses have been shown to be effective) and I doubt you're losing out on better results by having 'off' days. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted January 25, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 25, 2018 Agree with Matt, stick to what's working and with drugs that affect your hormones and overall health, decreasing dosage is much wiser than increasing especially when things are working well already. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
