huascar30
Folks - I am brand new to this website and was seeking your opinion. I had a transplant a week ago and based on the number of red dots in the front, back and sides, I am a bit I skeptical about whether I actually got the 2800 grafts. I am attaching the pictures but forgive me because they are a bit gross. HL
Senior Member hsrp10 Posted January 11, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted January 11, 2018 It's possible due to the large area covered, but the results are going to be sparse as the grafts are too spread out apart. Bit late now of course, but the preferred approach would have been to do the 2,800 grafts in the hairline and frontal third. Then the rest of the area and crown in a second surgery. huascar30
Thank you HSRP10. Yes, I would have preferred more emphasis in the frontal area. The good news, perhaps, is that the hair is very dense in the back. Hopefully it ends up giving me some cosmetic improvement.

Senior Member mattj Posted January 11, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted January 11, 2018 I can't be 100% certain so I wouldn't want you going back to your doctor to complain purely on the basis of what I've said, but it doesn't look like 2800 grafts to me. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Senior Member gillenator Posted January 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted January 12, 2018 The clinic where you had your procedure done should have all of the numbers in your chart. They should be able to tell you how many singles, doubles, etc., were used and exactly where they were placed on your scalp.
