Senior Member Djlazerblue Posted September 24, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted September 24, 2017 Just was curious to know if any DRs can advise me why hairlines seem to do quite well and growth seems to be almost certain, but on the vertex and crown it's very hard to achieve a decent result, from what I've seen it seems a problem area is there any reason to this
Regular Member Hairhope4ever Posted September 25, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted September 25, 2017 Hi DJ, From what i've heard, and my understanding it is for 2 reasons. The first is the blood flow in the crown area is different than that from the front. Therefore, results in the crown may take longer to fully manifest themselves. The second reason is dependent on the surgeon and his/her track record of work. My first 4 procedures were botched by two different surgeons (of which the last 2 were attempted repairs). They entailed crown work, but to no avail. Dr. Umar was the only one that gave me significant coverage and density throughout the front and back (NW 6), which is why i booked a second procedure with him in October. Do your research on the clinic and surgeon before booking, and I'm sure it'll bode well for you. Good luck.
