Senior Member Abbie Posted March 17, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted March 17, 2017 VIDEO: (If the video does not appear embedded, please click on the link.) BEFORE: This patient had always been unhappy with his naturally uneven hairline. After doing some research on the topic he decided that the only way that he would be content with his hairline would be to lower it towards the forehead. In order to look natural, it was also important to strengthen his temple points to match his new hairline. As you can see in the images below, the patient’s hairline is noticeably higher on the right side and this makes the hairline look uneven. THE PROCEDURE: After a consultation, the patient and the surgeon mutually decided that it would take about 3200 head donor grafts from the head and nape areas to craft a new hairline using Dr U’s advanced FUE DrUGraft method, which is able to harvest otherwise difficult to access hair such as nape hair. By moving the hairline lower and sculpting new temple points, the forehead’s size would be reduced in a credible, natural looking way. Dr U has published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal the results of using nape hair in hairline and temple creation using advanced FUE techniques. In the paper he described a screening method for selecting good candidates for the use of nape hair in transplantation. RESULTS - PHOTOS PATIENT TESTIMONIAL: The new areas blend well with what is already present, yet still work well with the shape of the patient’s face. Previously the patient was only able to wear his hair straight back, but since the procedure, he is able to part and style it in a variety of ways, giving him the freedom to control his look. Senior Member Dolph1969 Posted March 18, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted March 18, 2017 I'm going to go out on a limb on this one and say i think his original look would have matured better as he aged. Good result though and the main thing is he is happy with it.
Senior Member andy_+_+ Posted March 18, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted March 18, 2017 Worrisome if he loses more hair. I would say he had a minor receding hairline that could have been lowered a bit. If and when he loses more hair the hairline will definitely look unnatural. The sides of the hairline look more like 3.5 inches.
