Senior Member Abby Posted March 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 21, 2009 Theses are 9 month post op pics. I ve had to keep the hair short due to many gaps appearing on growth due to the large area covered. A touch of nanogen has been added in these pics. I am considering a 2nd H/T hopefully that will give the density that is required for a fuller look if strategicaly placed. Regular Member alwayswaiting1 Posted March 21, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 21, 2009 It looks like the large area was covered rather nicely. The scar is barely noticeable. I would grow it out and see how it looks after a month. Bill - Seemiller
Abby, It's difficult to evaluate your hair since you said you've used nanogen in the photos. Can you post some without it? I know you are concerned about density. But given the number of grafts you received and the large balding area covered, you wouldn't have been able to achieve the desired density in one session. Do you have plans for a second procedure? Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member wantego Posted March 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 21, 2009 It does look really good short in those pictures. With it so short does anyone mention the scar? I'm curious about your gaps that you mentioned. How many would you say you have and where? I'm concerned about a couple of gaps of my own. 4374 grafts-7/2/2008-Dr Rahal 485 singles 2336 doubles 1526 triples 16 quads 9809 total hairs

The gap appears to the right frontal area about 2sq cm. The scar very few people realise its there . Thats because I dab a little nanogen on to the scar. Regular Member Yogi's Dad Posted March 22, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2009 Regardless of your gaps and future desire for a second HT, you are "one of those guys" who looks great with your current short hairstyle. You are able to enjoy a great improvement in that which you currently have.
Senior Member Abby Posted March 22, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2009 Yogis Dad, I suppose you are right, the area obviously covered was huge and for what it is, it aint too bad, taking into consideration I can walk around without a hat. Senior Member MikeTheDane Posted March 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2009 I think it looks great, and the look suits you. I would keep it this way, even if you have to use concealers, because it looks natural and thick. About the scar, if it bothers you, you can maybe FUE some grafts into it to make it better blend. It's barely noticable with the concealers though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 11/04-07 - 800-1600 ish grafts - danish clinic - poor results 12/02-08 - 2764 grafts - Dr. Devroye - good result but needs hairline density 03/12-10 - 1429 grafts - Dr. Mohmand - result pending Feel free to visit my picture thread My Hair Transplant Photos - Surgery with Dr. Devroye Young lads below 25 unite!
