Will be adding more to this tomorrow but wanted to get it started.

I recently had FUT surgery with Dr. Alexander on 12/28/2016. He did a great job and I am excited to see the progress over the following 12 months.

See attached photos.

Did you shave anything before the surgery?

No I didn't shave anything. Dr. Alexander shaved part of my crown and I think around my temples. Hard to recall as the Xanax was kicking in and it was a long day so I don't remember all details. Any input from other guys who have had HT as to how they think it looks? I was hoping to get more coverage in my hairline and temples but I think Dr. Alexander did the best with what he had to work with.

Just over 2 weeks out. Still some scabs hanging on but I'm liking the way it's turning out. I see that there some little hairs attached to the scabs that flake off. Are those grafts falling out? I'd hate to be losing some grafts. Didn't know if the follicle was safe under the skin.

Overall I'm very optimistic but playing the waiting game.

Thank you for taking the time to post on the forum. Everything you have mentioned is all very much part of the shedding process. It can be a little worrying to see the hairs in the scabs but nothing at all to worry about. Please keep us all updated on your progress.

I'm at 2 months post op. Not really seeing much. My hair actually looks thinner than it pre op which I assume is due to shock loss. I haven't noticed any grafts starting to grow in my hairline area. Hoping to see some new hairs sprout soon. Just wanted to provide an update.

11 weeks post op currently. Starting to see tiny hairs sprout up. Still in the thick of the ugly duckling stage. My scalp still feels really tight and I feel like I need to itch it and stretch the skin out all the time.
