greg100
Hi everyone This is my first entry on the discussion forum following my hair restoration carried at the Farjo Medical centre just over 12 months ago.I am 39 years of age and i live just 40 miles from Manchester in Lancashire. As a teenager i had very deep recessions and my hair started to thin behind the frontal forelock at the same time, fortunately my rate of hair loss has been very very slow over the years and i have never used either finasteride or minoxidil.I would like to share my experience with you all as i am absolutely delighted by the result which has made a significant transformation to my appearance. My hair restoration journey commenced 2 years ago when i had a consultation with Dr Farjo in Manchester. He recommended 2000 fu grafts to be placed over an area of approximately 40cm sq in the temples and behind the frontal forelock,i actually received 2198 grafts for no extra charge. On the day of the transplant i arrived at the Farjo Medical Centre at 830 am where i met Mick the patient coordinator[a very helpful and knowledgeable chap who is also an ex baldy, i think he has had a couple of transplants].After signing the consent form i was given a light sedative in the form of a tablet. The procedure took approximately 7 hours during which i was very well looked after by all the staff.I can honestly say there was almost no discomfort and i slept for a couple of hours whilst they worked on me. I took a week off work to recover although this was probably not necessary as i only developed minimal swelling of my forehead which had disappeared by day 6. Most of the grafts fell out during the first 8 weeks, the newly transplanted hair started to grow from week 12 but it took another 3 or 4 months before i had a significant amount of hair.I am now at the 12 month stage and the hair is noticebly thicker now than at the 6/8 month stage. With regard to Drs Bessam and Nilofer Farjo they clearly have vast experience and work to the highest standards. In recent years there has been alot of negative comments about uk hair transplants but i do not think that i would received better treatment anywhere in the world. There was certainly no need to cross the atlantic! You can have a look at my photos on this website under Dr Farjo patients.I do hope this information will help someone.Best wishes to you all.
