Hello to everyone guys,

First of all sorry for breaking any forum rules as this is my first time here and I am just seeking help and advice.

I am really frustrated by my situation and finally decided to have a surgey to repair it but being my first time anxiety and concerns are kicking in.

Long story short, I would like if anyone as had any experience wiith Longevita and dr. Berkay Tulpar. https://www.longevita.co.uk/doctor/berkay-tulpar/

Would really appreciate any advice you can provide as I aim to have the surgery in the next 2 weeks.

Thank you so much for your time and understanding.

Teddy

I do not have any experience with this doctor, but i have with longevita, and i just have to say to stay away! Their service was horrible, after my hair transplant i asked for a refund, all they did was send a new "promotional" offer to me for 1700 euro. Stay away! Better use well known doctors here like Erdogan or Yaman.

I am really sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them.

Can I ask what happened? The hair were not growing? Or something else?

Everydoby here agree that I should avoid Longevita, no matter which Doctor they offer me?

The guy is telling me that they provide a warranty and if results are not good after 9 months they give another free operation. Are those just lies?

Thats what they told me too... That is just garbage. I gave it time, contacted them 1 year later for poor growth. I needed to pay 1700 euro, forget that, 1 yr previous had a traumatic hair transplant. It is just not dense enough. Im going with another doctor now. I dont know if i got too few grafts or poor growth, cuz the last few months hair grew better, but still not satisfied. I need another op cuz of dat. Its better to pay a little more for a safe doctor than to risk it like i did.

Thank you Hairfix for sharing your experience with me, genuinely appreciated.

Could you please define "traumatic HT"? How was that? Too much pain during the procedure? Post-op pain or other issues?

Can I ask you the name of the surgeon?

Do you have pre/post-op pictures?

Surgeon was Dr.Resat altug aktas. You can look up my older threads. It wasnt physical pain. But the emotional trauma having realized that it didn't live up to my expectations, and to realize that i need a second op. I don't wish that feeling on ANYONE.

Having checked your old posts and seen your pictures I feel surprised you feel that way, your hairline looks amazing and even before the HT I could not tell you needed one.

If I can dare to give you any advice, I would say to avoid having another HT, you don't need one, your hair are just great, be proud of them.

Any other experience with Longevita over here?

I had a transplant with longevita just approaching 22 months post op also with Dr Resat although all the Doc does is draw the hair-line ,meds etc ,he oversees the techs so strictly speaking I suppose it's not a tech clinic but he plays no part in the actual transplant .

Anyway the result at the end of the day is what's important , I am more than happy with my result. being a NW5-6, 4200 grafts were never going to give total coverage but there is a huge improvement from where I started another op of 2000 -2500 grafts should finish the job, I took a huge risk going to Turkey to basically what was a tech clinic but thank god I did ,the question is, was I just lucky or are these clinics in Turkey turning out good results on a regular basis , I paid 1750 pound including hotel stay, hotel/airport transfers .

Personally I think there are tech clinics in Turkey who who deliver good results but I would always advise someone to go to a recommended Doc there is just too much risk involved, for my second transplant I 'm considering Dr Yaman or possibly eugenics in India, as for Longevita i had no problem with them but the bottom line is they are just the middlemen

first pic about 14 months post op years since I have been able to use a comb, second one pre-op all my hair on top pretty much gone just some miniaturised hair stubbornly hanging on, third pic 12 days post op it shows how large the bald area was ,balding went back all the way to a large bald crown also to add I have a large head not huge but bigger than average ,I will post more pics in the next week .

First of all thanks to the moderator/admin who moved my post and my apologies for misplacing it in the first place.

Thanks for your post Mick50. Also, congratulations on your result, your hair look amazing mate! I am just curious about the donor area, have any picture about that? Can you shave the hair very short or it will show that you had a surgey then?

I think your situation was more similar to mine as I have a Norwood 5 situation here and I basically want to restore all the vertex. They also said they gonna repair something from the front which is not bad if you ask me as they are thinning out :)

Do you think 3/4000 grafts can be enough to restore all the hair lost in the vertex?

P.s. Sorry guys, are you saying you had HT with this guy? https://www.longevita.co.uk/doctor/dr-resat-altug-aktas/

Cause in the Longevita website is described as a plastic surgeon specialist and not a HT one :o

As i did not have any hairloss before im dissapointed, it was my fault though. I should never had a HT in the first place. Yeah what a shame. I feel robbed having a HT done by a plastic surgeon. I am not 100% dissatisfied though. Because i know that a hair transplant works. I just think i got too little grafts for what hairline design i wanted. I wanted a dense packed hairline.

Yes I noticed that now longevita are only showing Dr Resat as a plastic surgeon ,my guess he's gone solo with his transplant business, if you google Dr Resat 'dogalife clinic' you will see he has his own website there ,that was the clinic I went to , we have a classic case here of a plastic surgeon muscling in on the transplant business but at least he hires capable techs ,any cliicic you go choose with Longevita you need to be aware chances are the Doc wont be doing the transplant.

Hard to say how many grafts will be sufficient for you without seeing pics, best of luck anyway

what i will say if you are having second thoughts you may need to think about postponing the transplant, i don't know anything about the Doc you are thinking of going to.

It must be really painful to be dissatisfied after goign through a procedure like that. Only thing I can tell you is that from the pictures I see quite a dense and consistent hair Hairfix.

Did they offer you a free second procedure though?

I actually don't wear my hair that shortI i'm at an age where I don't try to have the coolest style just comb it back slightly to the right which how it seems to naturally grow, will try to get some pics up this weekend.

I was assured the Doctor will be doing the surgery with the assistance of his technicians though. In any case I understand the surgeon dictates the grafts amount and supervise the extraction/reinstallment.

Judging from your results I have good hopes though, after all you used them, right? :)

Would you give me an opinion if I post my pictures?

I see. I wasn't really asking that cause I'm a fan of shaved hair, in that case I would not even bother in having a HT I guess hahaha :)

I was asking mostly cause by seeing the pictures of whom underwent an HT I see the first months could be a bit hard for me going out and showing myself around, so probably would be better to shave for the first 2/3 months but that if the donor area would not make me look ridicolous anyway.

Hope I made some sense with my overextended explanation.

Is it ok to use Toppik, Caboki and other hair loss concealer while waiting you hair grow back after the HT?

Thank you so much Mick50, I really appreciate you sharing your experience with me.

Yes of course but it would just me a layman's opinion, I presume your Doc has already given you an estimate.

Regarding the donor I did have a bit of shock loss but it was back to normal I would say after 4-5 months ,I preferred to go down the natural route and just let the hair do it's own thing

I didn't want to take any risks with using clippers although I'm aware lots of Docs say it's OK .

As I said before I went with Dr Resat I have no idea how good your Doc is, I spoke with 6-7 patients before I went ahead, I suggest you do the same thing, when are you going there for your transplant?

I believe it's OK to use concealers but make sure you ask your Doctor ,I personally didn't use them ha never want to use them again if I can help it.

They did not offer any free procedure. Dr.Aktas said i could come for a second procedure, but somehow he stopped responding after i told him of specific dates. After that he lost my trust, and i will never trust longevita again, so i will go with another doctor for a second ht in the near future.

Thank you so much for your replies guys I am still convinced I need the HT cause since the hairloss started I lost a lot of confidence and using concealer has never done much.

I will have the HT soon.

Question: should wear a beret, cap or hat right after the surgery to protect my head? Or should I use something else for the first days? Any recommendation on this matter would be most welcome! :)

That is not good. Have you tried reaching out to one of his reps?

I want to wish you a lot of luck.
