Is this a hair whorl or is it early stages of losing my hair? Ever since I noticed it a couple months ago it hasn't really changed at all though. I'm also 16. Thank you :)

The first pic is when I put my hair down while the last pic is when I push it up

It is on the thin side, but it could just be natural. You hair looks shorter in the later photos.

Wait and see over the next year or two. At moment, I wouldnt be overly worried.

It could be known as a cowlick

Without evaluating your scalp and hair under magnification it is difficult to tell. It does appear a bit sooner but that doesn't mean you are experiencing hair loss. Male pattern baldness can start in the crown but all hair that ends up falling out starts by miniaturizing first. In other words, the natural hair cycle that all hair is go through will increase causing the hair affected by genetic hair loss to grow back center and finer. Hairs that are thin and fine we'll have a clearly distinct appearance under magnification. But till you've experienced 50% hair loss in an area, it is not visible to the naked eye.

I suggest consulting with one of our recommended hair restoration physicians or a dermatologist or try colleg or a dermatologist or trichologist for an evaluation.

Best wishes,

Bill
