A 32-years old caucasian female born with a high hair line and wanted to narrow her forehead by doing hair restoration. The total recipient area was measured 53 cm2 at the front.

The ultra refined follicular unit hair transplantation was done with FUT and trichophytic closure.

The detail of the hair transplantation is as follows:

Frontal area: 1 hair:=548 grafts, 2 hairs:= 1,611 grafts, 3 hairs:= 454 grafts, 4 hairs:= 32 grafts

A total of 2,645 grafts consisting of 5,260 hairs.

The patient was followed at 2 years and 9 months post-operatively with good hair growth and significant cosmetic improvement by lowering her hair line. Patient had good results and is very happy.

Looks very nice. Is there some bumpy texture in the recipient area (photo # 2)? I only ask because I had bumpy texture in my recipient area, but one session of micro-needling for only $200 to that area did an amazing job of smoothing the skin.

 

I really think HT surgeons should look into the positive effects of micro-needling after a procedure!

You have a good eye. Yes,she has some small elevated at base of the follicle as goose bump but didn't bother her. This might settle with time however if it doesn't go away or bother her superficial desiccation will improve the texture..
