Communicating with Dr Resul Yaman's clinic

First time poster here, I started loss my hair 10 years ago and gradually proceeds to grade 4, I was so fed up with trying to hide the bald spot with hair styles so for the last few months I have shaved my head completely bald. Sadly lots of my relatives are not supportive of my new look.

 

long story short, I contacted Dr Resul Yaman's clinic a week ago and sent my pictures through, few days later received an email from one of his assistance "F", so I add him through WhatsApp, initially communication with him was quite smooth, able to answer my questions promptly, so i decided to book with him.

 

The conversation is sort of like this.

F: I can book you for this date if you want, you send me a copy with your flight ticket I'm going to make all your arrangement.

I said: Ok please book me for this date, I will try to get flight settled in the next few days.

F: It's done.

 

From here, I started to have trouble get a hold of him, I wanted to ask him how much extra I need to pay their hotel if I want to stay in istanbul for few more days, No reply until 2 days later after I send him a copy of my flight ticket. Few hours later F finally replied: Thank you. The hotel is 60 per night.

So I asked him is there anything else I need to do at this point, NO reply again.

I mean, I am not asking much, just a confirmation that he received my copy of flight tickets and everything will be taken care off. Or am I just expecting too much?

 

For those forum member who previously had HT with Dr Resul Yaman, may I ask how was your experience communicating with one of Dr Yaman's assistant? How long did you had to wait until they get back to you about the transport and accommodation details?

 

Thanks for your time reading this, as right now I am feeling like I have been left in the dark and not knowing what to expect, as it is already extremely daunting traveling 30 hours to an unknown city for a HT.

I don't think communication is a strong point of this clinic . Quite a few people have made similar comments about getting responses .

 

I enquired with this clinic a while ago , and after the initial acknowledgement never heard from them again . Just struck them off my list .

 

I wouldn't be overly concerned though . I'd just persevere until you get a response .

I'm from the USA, and it would take any where from 2-5 days or some times longer for these clinics in Turkey to reply back. And I've been in contact with many many clinics trying to get some info, questions & answers. I'm seriously thinking on going on a trip to Turkey so I can just meet and greet with some of these doctors, just to see what they say and to see what kind of vibe I get from them, after all..a hair transplant surgery is a serious commitment, once you start there is no turning back.

I've sent a few emails over the last week and a half and no reply! Makes me wonder how I'd get in touch if anything went wrong post op.

Here is an update.

On Thursday morning, I received a message through whatsApp from "F" saying he will send me hotel booking confirmation next day, and since I will be in Istanbul for 8 days, he then asked me if I will be using the same hotel, so I have told him I will booking the rest of the day's myself, which means I can't book ahead until I receive the hotal booking confirmation from him first.

It is now Saturday afternoon, I haven't receive any news from him yet, I sent him a message asking about the update this morning, I really do hope that I am not appearing to be too pushy, but it is only about 2 weeks till my departure for Istanbul.
