Hi guys

After reading plenty of reviews I think COSMEDICA does a good HT. I am planning to have it done in september. Has anybody had any experience with them? bad/good.... as I said before, reviews look awesome. I am kind of stressed out as though my balding is not very serious (just crown and a bit of front line), now that I am 42 and looks stabilized, I want to recover back my hair. I have been waiting for several years to stabilize and it is starting to affect my confidence but I want to have as much information as I can. So far contact with the clinic and explanation of FUE has been clear and straight to the point. Reviews around internet and other sites are good.... but any first hand experience would be extremely welcomed.

If you're not planning on doing it until September , all I would suggest is research the forums intensively . When you think you've researched enough , research some more .

Any reason why you are primarily looking at Cosmedica ? I'm pretty sure it's largely a technician clinic . There are threads on this forum if you check out with the search button .

The main reason why I am thinking about cosmetics is that all the people that have gone there are satisfied and happy with the result. I may be wrong but do far all the threads I have found, they are Happy and the results look good. I will keep on researching, but if you know of have read of any case that they ate not satisfied, please please please let me know (or link it in a reply) as I may have not found it. I would love to be replied also by anybody who has gone there with any opinion. Bloody hair.. Why does it have to fall down...

Relating to technicians.. Well I am a doctor myself, and most of times we just supervise and do the most difficult parts, and if technicians have been working with you for a while, they're trained to do the easy parts. So I am slightly divided in there.

Im 10 weeks into my ht from cosmedica. It is a no frills clinic. Its basic but as you say they do seem to hit the results from what ive read and seen.

As far as a technician clinic, a doctor does the extractions and the slits, and the techs do the implanting.

I had 4500 and then some because they stopped counting. I do feel that i was over harvested in certain areas as ten weeks in my donor does show an extraction pattern still, which im hoping is down to a bit of shock loss. My left hand side is looking good, but the right hand side is still a bit thin. It was the area that i felt the most pain and took the longest to heal so iam hoping in the next month or so it will thicken up.

I didplay it safe by having my hairline very high an conservative. Just concentrated on density.

So it is a risk going to these type of clinics, i went in with my eyes wide open. I had just basically had enough of using toppik on a bare scalp, had a certain amount of money, i was planning to travel for 4 months straight a after which im currently doing in australia and thailand. So i will just have to see how it goes.

The girls are lovely, and they all seem to know what they are doing. English is spoken very basically, which can be hard. As i say its a basic clinic which does what it says on the tin. If you get a good result, thats the main thing at the end of the day. Nothing else matters. Good luck

Thanks Yido. Please do keep me updated on how things evolve!! I have been consulting different doctors. I need around 3000. Front line is okish.. Bit if receeding. Density overall is good but for bloody crown. I don't want to lower front line just cover the receeding and crown. Looking forward to hearing more of your results and some other patients at cosmeduca

Thank indeed for your post mate.

If the doctor extracts and performs the incisions , it wouldn't be classed as a tech' clinic .

The tech' clinics I refer to have minimal doctor involvement , sometimes just drawing the lines on the scalp .

Good luck with the HT and enjoy your travels .
