Senior Member MrMatt Posted November 23, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2015 Just had an FUE procedure 3800+ grafts which unconcealed the scar from my prior FUT 1750 graft procedure.with the trichophytic closure done in 5/2013. I was really surprised how vague the scar was. I have been reading & researching FUE vs FUT for the last couple of years. Now since I have experienced both I can honestly say FUE is a lot less painful & the healing time is very quick. I'm 5 days post op and have just a little tenderness in the donor area & the extraction wounds are just about healed. As for my FUT procedure the donor area was very tender for over 2 months and numb for about 6 months. As far as graft yield, I'll just have to wait & see, my Doctor claims 97% & I'm confident it can be achieved since I've seen many examples of his work.
