Timeframe for change in hair caliber/texture after HT?

Quick question-how long after HT do most people start to see a return to their original hair texture? The hair after HT starts out as very fine hairs in people's posts, and in 12-18 mos photos looks very different i.e. more like their regular donor hair in terms of thickness, body, coarseness, etc. At what point do most people see the fine hairs start to really thicken up and change to more normal hair caliber, texture, etc?

I'm at 7 months and still have many fine, single hairs, though some are starting to thicken up and some of the 1's are now turning to 2's, 3's and 4's slowly. So not sure when that process is done but obviously it adds considerably to your hair thickness. I guess that's why they say it can take up to 18 months to see your final result.

So here is a related question-do all grafts start by producing 1 hair even if they were a 2, 3 or 4 at the time of HT? Do 2s make only 2s or start as 1s and then become 2s, for example?
