Senior Member Cant decide Posted October 28, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted October 28, 2015 Dut made my native hair fall out (not a shed). I am sure for some it works above and beyond Fin but for some, it causes hair loss so be careful. Regular Member ForeverLacey Posted October 29, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted October 29, 2015 I have not seen anything in regards to Avodart continuing their testings in the hair loss field. However, there may be a generic available soon in the US market. With that said, you can still get Avodart for off label use if you want it now. I am sure for some it works above and beyond Fin but for some, it causes hair loss so be careful. That's a shame. It gives me Brad Pitt hair after a few weeks of use. I use it on and off and can really notice a difference when I'm 'on' 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Senior Member LondonHTseeker Posted November 12, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted November 12, 2015 I just swapped from Avodart to Propecia. My old chap was beginning to be reticent about its duties so I had to. Already the side effects have mostly gone. I'm not touching Avodart again. Avodart is stronger so I'd imagine there'd be a slight worsening of your hair loss. Normally people go from Propecia to Avodart, interesting to see how it goes reversed. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result.
