DAC
Hi all, Hope everyone's keeping well. I have a quick question for anyone that has experienced FUE, or anyone that simply had a lot of knowledge on the subject. I had an FUE procedure 8 weeks ago and have noticed that some hair in the recipient area has a dark tip, whilst the remainder of the hair is lighter. Has anyone experienced this phenomena, and know what it is / means? Thanks
Senior Member home1212 Posted October 9, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted October 9, 2015 You sure its not just the crusting that's developed from dried blood that's happened to rise to the top of the hair shaft and will eventually fall off or shed with the hair? Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted October 9, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2015 Sometimes with light colored natural hair, the hair is dyed dark to help prevent color bias, in which the darker pigmented hair is not selectively targeted. We do this with gray or blonde haired patients. Dr. Mike Vories is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network
DAC
Thanks a lot for the replies. I'd be surprised if it was dried blood given how vigorously I've washed my hair over the last 8 weeks. I also think most of the hair shedding has already taken place and am quite sure my hair was not dyed.
Senior Member gillenator Posted October 9, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted October 9, 2015 It may be just a variance in the pigmentation of the hair shafts.
