Minoxidil and vitamins post FUT

3 days post FUT strip surgery. I went in to see my doctor for a check up he told me not to take any vitamins for one week even vitamin C has anybody ever heard of this? I just wondered why I can't take vitamins. he didn't really explain it. He also said to wait two weeks before using minoxidil again. But I see on other websites where doctors tell their patients they can use minoxidil within 3 days after the transplant. I would appreciate any help.

Can't say I've seen anywhere that says you can take Minoxidil 3 days after. Your grafts are not secured until 7-8 days and that is the earliest I've seen docs prescribe. The last thing you want to be doing is rubbing your scalp when the grafts aren't even secure. Trust me.....starting at 2 weeks versus 1 week isn't going to affect anything. I didn't start Minox for a good month or so after my surgery and I still seem to be a quicker grower.
