Dr. Jean Devroye
One of my technicians complained since a long time about her big forehead with a distance of her temporal limits. Sharon is 26 years old and her problem began 8 years ago. The 16.01.2015 a patient canceled his surgery and we performed the FUT. 3012 grafts for 5506 hair with a repartition of 829 FUT1, 1874 FUT2, 307 FUT3 and only 2 FUT4. The high number of single is indicated in that kind of situation because we absolutely have to obtain a very fluid aspect on the first lines of the graft. We can only get it with the use of the grafts of 1 hair. The regrowth was immediate, that's why the result is already very encouraging and very natural just 5 months after the surgery. We will keep you informed of the evolution. Senior Member Dolph1969 Posted July 31, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted July 31, 2015 Very good. It's interesting, that shape of hairline wouldn't look natural on a man. I think men suit the slightly receded cookie cutter hairlines.
Dr. Jean Devroye
Thank you for your enthusiasm! Indeed, the shape of hairline by women is really different from men. Dr. Jean Devroye
Thank you all for your comments! Dear 911fan, No, of course a FUE would have theoretically been possible, but I never practise a FUE by women. I think a FUE by women is very often a mistake for several reasons: the donor area is often very poor and hair is fragile, which complicates the surgery, with a quality inferior to a FUT. A FUE requires to shave completely the donor area, what most of my female patients are not willing to. However, using grafts of one and two hairs on the first part of the transplant, that is to say the first 1500 grafts, enabled me to achieve this result particularly natural. Here is an update of the evolution after one year.
