Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 11, 2009 There has been cases where a lot of the grafts continue to grow without shedding but generally speaking most if not all will fall, I had a few hang on but I'm talking maybe 50 hairs. Senior Member mmhce Posted April 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 11, 2009 Maxxy is right. But all scalp hair MUST go through the anagen, catagen and telogen phases. The question is how long is your own individual anagen phase (how long your hair can grow), which is dictated by your own genetic make-up take care... Senior Member Take a chance Posted April 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 11, 2009 I'm 6 weeks pre op and held on to a lot of hair. I'm not sure if they are all going to fall or if they will remain.

Senior Member Acrobaz Posted April 13, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 13, 2009 Maxxy and mmhce are right - in most cases, the newly transplanted hairs will shed. A typical time frame is 2-4 weeks but I have had some hanging on (I'd guess about 30) and I'm now at nearly two months post-op. 17 Feb 09 - 3,200 FUs by strip surgery (Dr Feller) My Hair Loss Website
Senior Member Take a chance Posted April 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 15, 2009 Lately I haven't been losing any. Occasionally one or two while washing hair but thats it. I will keep u updated. I would estimate that I have held on to at least half of the newly transplanted grafts. Had 4300 odd grafts in my first procedure.
