CammyFollicles
Hi guys, So I just signed up here. I've been looking at this forum for a while deciding whether to sign up and I think it's a great place to come for advice and feedback The main reason I have came here is because I'm considering a Hair Transplant and would like some more information. (Please read my Hair Loss Story on my profile if you want to understand more) Thanks! I'm about a Norwood III with a thinning vertex. After some investigation and reading I have decided that I think the FUE Hair Transplant maybe be the best option as it doesn't involve as long recovery time and stitches and that kind of thing. I'm from England (UK) so I'm not sure if there are many other Brits here? I'm having trouble searching for a surgeon here in the UK because you just don't know who is reliable and safe? I've found some companies called "Ziering" and "Vinci" which seem pretty promising but I don't know? I saw you guys had a coalition list and only a couple of doctors got on to it, Farjo, Lorenzo and Reddy. Are these the surgeons who are well trusted and can do a good job in the UK? I noticed they are a lot abroad too. I've also found two clinics in Scotland which seem okay too. A few footballers have gone there so I thought it must be so bad if famous people can go there? I'll put the links of them: (Links removed by moderator) Thanks so much for reading, if you could read my Hair Loss Story on my profile and give me some feedback about the things on this thread too, that would be fantastic! Have a nice day everyone. Cheers Edited November 18, 2014 by David - TakingThePlunge
Senior Member delancey Posted November 17, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2014 Welcome to the forum, If I were you, I would consult with a few of the best FUE surgeons, including Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Feriduni, and of course Dr. Lorenzo. Best of luck to you. I am not a medical professional and my words should not be taken as medical advice. All opinions and views shared are my own. Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2014 I agree with Delancey. Study those docs and check out their FUE results. You will find many, many threads on this forum about each of them and lots of photos as well. Good luck.
CammyFollicles
Hi Delancey & Hadenough Thanks very much for your responses, I really appreciate it! If I'm going to get one, I want to try and get it quite soon because I start university next September so I wont to get the first few months out of the way before I go Is Dr Lorenzo from England also? I think your right though about any using trusted surgeons only. Is FUE definitely a better surgery type to select compared with FUT? I have also found something called a BioFibre hair surgery, which is sort of pretend grafts but look the same as real hair? This can have instant results and maybe a bit cheaper than a Hair Transplant, however I'm not sure about this too?

Senior Member gillenator Posted November 19, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted November 19, 2014 Thanks for your reply Gillenator I guess your right, how long does it normally take to book your surgery in? One thing is for sure, any of the doctors mentioned are busy and most of them have reps that can assist you in the enrollment process. You can also go to their respective websites to get their contact info. Wish you the best in your journey my friend... CammyFollicles
Thanks so much for your response again! I haven't used this forum in ages, but I'm finally back. I've got an appointment with my Dermatologist next week to discuss about my options regarding a HT or a BioFibre Implant. I've also looked the names of the surgeons that you guys recommended and they seem great! Does anyone know of any good HT surgeons or places in England that I can research about? Cheers
Senior Member voxman Posted April 8, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted April 8, 2015 BioFibre may cause infection but in my case, it worked wonders. I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
CammyFollicles
BioFibre may cause infection but in my case, it worked wonders. Thank you for your reply voxman! I'm glad to hear BioFibre worked so well for you, congratulations! Is it okay to play sports and swim with it? And can you style it anyway you want and things like that? This sounds like a really great option!
