Regular Member whoknows01 Posted September 26, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted September 26, 2014 About 2 years ago I had a 1000 graft neograft procedure done to my hairline. I didn't do my research and just jumped into. The transplanted hair did grow but my forelock started to thin so I have been buzzing my hair down. I like the look of my buzzed hair I just want to cover up the fue scars created by the neograft. Also I have been on rogaine foam for 1 and a half years and propecia for a little over a year. I am wondering if anyone has had temp smp done at hishair in Ny and if they had good results.
Senior Member el guapo Posted September 27, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted September 27, 2014 They have their own forum where you can see a lot of results from their NYC office. Like with most things, it comes down to the practitioner you end up with. His do get a lot of good results but they also get a few just OK results. Make sure you do your research. Regular Member thebottomend29 Posted September 27, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted September 27, 2014 hi guys i think the two best options are either Matthew Iulo at headstrong ny or Graig at HIS. Both those guys are the most seasoned, ive met a couple of guys that had been treated by Matt and they all looked flawless. Matt used to run the NYC and Miami clinics for HIS but left recently for his own place. if you go to HIS id request Graig. Best of luck, im going in for a consult soon at Headstrong ill let you know how it goes if you havent made a decision by then

Have you looked into Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis? I believe they learned their temp technique under Milena Lardi
Regular Member Thunder Posted September 29, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted September 29, 2014 Hey there whoknows01, HIS Hair is a great company, they have clinics all over the world including the United States. I looked into them, actually had a consultation set up with them. I read their forums religiously for a year. The one thing I would look into if you choose HIS is that they do have a tendency to have different practitioners who complete each of the sessions you go for. For instance if you were to go to the NYC clinc, and are quoted 3 sessions, one session might be with Greg, one might be with Orion, and the other could be with Jonathan. Their methodology is that all practitioners are the same, and receive the same training. Receiving the same training is all well and good, but every practitioner is different, not cookie cutter. If you haven't scoured their forum section of their website, it is a wealth of knowledge on SMP.

You can get Graig one session, and session two can be with another person. Downside in my opinion. Let me know how your consultation goes. I will be posting my session 2 pics soon. Senior Member NicH0le007 Posted October 1, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 1, 2014 Have you looked into Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis? I believe they learned their temp technique under Milena Lardi Thank you! Yes, we did! On another note, HIS does great work as well. From an artistic standpoint having multiple technicians work on you can yield an outstanding result because each artist has a fresh eye for something different. Remember, the sessions build on each other. So, session two will be better than session one not because of the technician but because needling of the skin from session 1 has prepared the skin for session two.. so on and so forth... Best of luck! Hope this makes sense! I am the SMP and Micro-Pigmentation Specialist for Shapiro Medical Group. Always feel free to message me privately with any additional questions you might have. I am trained in both the permanent and temporary pigmentation methods and am happy to be here to offer support as a neutral resource.
Regular Member thebottomend29 Posted October 2, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted October 2, 2014 Hi Nicole ive read horror stories of guys who got switched to a different practitioner, because 1 was more exprienced than the next. I guess its a case by case thing. I think any one going to this should know who their practitioner is and see his work. Ive been researching for a bit and found that in NY it was either Matt or Graig. Matt now has his own place Headstrong which i hear good things from, but if HIS is where you are going ask for Graig, ive had friends treated by both. I am the SMP practitioner for Shapiro Medical Group. I have seen work done by all and yes, all are good. It is absolutely important to know something about the establishment you are getting your procedure done at. I as well am familiar with many SMP horror stories. Often times, there are many factors that come into play not just the "practitioner". From a patients perspective that was the easiest and most obvious variable to pick out. If you feel more comfortable having one technician do all your work though than by all means this is the route you should go with. I'm simply pointing out that both ways have advantages and disadvantages from a technical standpoint. I am the SMP and Micro-Pigmentation Specialist for Shapiro Medical Group.
