Need help with Sara Wasserbauer MD OR BAY area surgeon

Hi ,

 

I am planning to get my hair transplantation done from Dr Sara Wasserbauer MD from Walnutcreek CA. (Bay area california). Can anyone please share your experience and other related information wrt her expertise, cost and any information which helps me to decide on the doctor. Please reply ASAP as i need to get this done in a month or two.

 

 

Also please let me know if there are any other doctor who is good in Bay area california.

Proximity is the last thing you should be concerned with.

 

There's absolutely no reason not to use a surgeon who is recommended on this board. I've never heard of your surgeon....why take a risk? While a HT is very minor surgery, many things can go wrong if you do not choose carefully.

 

There are some recommended docs in CA (though I'm not certain that any are located within the Bay Area). You're going to be spending anywhere from 5-20k on a procedure...a road trip or a flight to find the right surgeon would seem like a wise investment.

Well said in the above post, and I'll add if you're eager to just jump into a HT you need to do the following,

 

1. Stop

2. Drop

3. Research the hell out of what you're doing first

 

There's not many doctors in the world who do a great work. Without even knowing who that doc is, I can tell you there is a 99% chance she's not very good and her results are poor by comparison. If you go with this doctor uninformed, it would be like walking into a casino and betting all the money you have that a penny slot machine is gonna hit jackpot on the next roll... in other words, a really really really really bad bet.

I agree with above statements about taking your time and doing your homework before making your decision, however, with all due respect to the blog, just because a doctor isn't a member of the blog or never chooses to be doesn't necessarily eliminate them from being good either. The common denominator is to do your homework and make sure you choose someone with great results!

You've received some excellent advice. Proximity should be the last consideration when choosing your surgeon. However, there are certainly a number of excellent doctors within a relatively short distance.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Could you please give me few best doctors name who can do Hair transplantation procedure. I was told that i have to spend around $10500 for 2200-2500 grafts.. Is that expensive?

 

Please let me know the names of the best doctors in Bay area (Would prefer any good doctors in california, not specific to Bay area)..

That does seem expensive to me. But there again i have been spoilt by the low prices in Turkey :-)
