FUT / FUE Without meds

Hello All,

I’m finally at the stage of booking my FUT with Doctor bisanga! Going over in the next few months

I’m on Saw Palmetto and regain but an unable to take propecia L

Has anyone had any experience with FUT/FUE without taking propecia?

I understand that the transplanted hair will be resistant but it’s just my remaining hair may go over time

Without propecia is a risk you will have to weigh up, eg how likely you will progress to a deep NW6 or a 7. Think about your dad's, granparents, uncles hair as they got older. No guarantees but at least it is a risk you can quantify to a certain extent.

 

You can always ask Dr B to go a bit more conservative on the hairline to make sure you can look pretty natural for the rest of your life, maybe with a couple of additional procedures thrown in in the next 10-20 years.

 

I think that once you accept that you may end up with a thin crown but a good front hairline and mid scalp you can be at peace with the whole idea.
