Regular Member matts7989 Posted June 9, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hi guys, ok Im 21 I have a u shaped hairline, which I think was caused my excessive bleaching and lack of diet, as hairloss doesnt run in my family at all, it hapoen around 2 ywars ago in the past year ive seen loads of little hairs growing around my hairline more and more and im not losing any hair at all Ive been eating healthy and doing masks and can see improvments with these little hairs but its not filled in my temples like it was before so Shud I consider meds? Althogh im not losing any hair but gaining new hairs?
Senior Member Dutch Posted June 9, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hello, you should definitely consider meds especially at your young age as the meds should help quite a bit at this early start of hair loss. Maybe throw saw palmetto into the mix to see if you get further improvement with the meds. It would definitely be very early to consider a transplant- maybe wait for a few years for that if you're thinking about it now. One more thing- do plenty of research! http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

Senior Member Dutch Posted June 9, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 Sure I understand- if you think you're not really losing hair & don't want to start with meds in case it makes things worse, then keep any eye on your hair & take photos every few months to see if things get worse. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

Regular Member rusty63 Posted June 9, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hi Matts , Possible you just have a natural high hairline . I have a cousin in late 50 s now still looks same hair wise .
Senior Member Spanker Posted June 9, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 I think it is strange that bleach would have made you lose hair in a perfect nw2 to nw3 pattern, which is why I don't think it was bleach. Your temple points are receding too. Honestly, gp docs do not know much about hair on average. I would go to a specialist. Senior Member Spanker Posted June 9, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hi Matts , Possible you just have a natural high hairline . I have a cousin in late 50 s now still looks same hair wise . I will agree with this. I have a friend in his 50's and still has the hairline you have now and has had it since his 20's. He has some minor crown loss right now, so I am not saying you are going to be real bald, but you will want to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse get on meds. If its not that bad, I would not rush into a transplant. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
