Senior Member FUE2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 21, 2014 I live in Perth, Western Australia which is a part of the world that gets more sun than most other places and in Summer regularly gets to 40 degrees Celsius. I have FUE with Dr Feriduni in Dec and return to Oz in January in the middle of summer. While I can avoid spending time in the sun during weekends, commuting to and from work in a suit and a hat is just not viable, in short it will be impossible to avoid the sun. Do I just have to keep spraying SPF on my head for three plus months??
Senior Member Garageland Posted May 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 21, 2014 All the best with your surgery later in the year. Yes is the simple answer if you are out in strong sunlight and cannot wear a hat a very high spf is going to be required at all times. You can carry a small spray around with you, it is the down side of living in such a warm climate. --- Former patient and representative for Hasson & Wong. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted May 22, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 22, 2014 For short treks in the sun when I was not able to wear a hat, I used an umbrella to keep my head protected. I felt a bit conspicuous doing so but since that time, I've seen a number of people using them in the sun. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional.
