Senior Member Dr. Sheldon Kabaker Posted January 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 2, 2014 Three views of a 29 year old female with high hairline and no hair loss. Shown from top (surgeon eye view) showing markings for 3 cm advancement of hairline and immediate result. Other views show before and after 6 days, then at one year. 45 square centimeters of foreheade were covered with over 3500 follicular units with high density. Senior Member Since21 Posted January 3, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2014 Quite a dramatic change cosmetically in the framing of her face. In the post-op pics it looks as though there was a scalp reduction/tuck done as well along her hairline. If that's the case, it should be noted. Nice end result regardless. 3,425 FUT grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Nov 2013 1,600 FUE grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Dec 2018
Senior Member Dr. Sheldon Kabaker Posted January 3, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2014 I don't know what you mean by a "tuck", but you are quite correct in describing this operation as a type of scalp (or forehead ) reduction . The operation moves the hair bearing scalp forward and the overlapped forehead tissues are removed. If the temples need advancement or the forehead needs narrowing, up to 800 grafts can be done with this operation without adding any additional donor scarring. The operation has evolved into a sophisticated one and is best applied to women who have no ongoing hair loss. It is not an operation for male pattern baldness. Senior Member Since21 Posted January 3, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2014 I've seen it on a couple of female patients before. The use of 'tuck' was just me searching for the right description. Thanks for the explanation. Nice transformation. Patient must be happy. 3,425 FUT grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Nov 2013 1,600 FUE grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Dec 2018
