Senior Member Maxxy Posted April 9, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2010 Here in the UK I've heard of people recieving cosmetic surgery such as breast enlargements and otoplasty free of charge through the NHS (The National Health Service). However, I don't believe there is a hope in hell of getting a hair transplant paid by the NHS. That being said, there was an outcry here a few years back when a girl who was too short to become an air stewardess recieved very costly surgery on the NHS to lengthen her legs by an inch or so. Anything is possible I guess. Edit: It was actually 5 inches she gained at a cost of 12,000 pounds ($19,000). You can read the story -here- if anyone is interested. Senior Member PanamaJimmy Posted April 18, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 18, 2010 Churchies49, If you enter the witness protection program, the government will pay 100% for a hair transplant ;-) It would be frustrating, however, not to be able to show off the results to your family and old friends!
