wait time for smp after ht?

When it comes to HT after SMP then no need to wait, like in my case I had SMP into my scar on July and then added some chest grafts to it after a month. Wont affect because its just an ink and not that deep. However if you are thinking of SMP after HT then you should wait at least 6 months. This is the period that was given to HT patients at Dr. Koray Erdogan clinic because the skin should heal well in order for the ink to stay.

Hey hariri, how r u? Don't know if u remember me but we exchange a few pm's over a yr ago about dr rahal. Anyhow I have been following ur journey and I knew your plan for a while was to do beard into the scar after a revision, so what made you decide to go with chest? Are you happy with the smp work still? Do u have any posts on ur chest procedure? What's the cost/graft? Thanks

Marchin872,

If you want SMP into the top of your scalp where the grafting work is being done then your planned time frame should be ok but I personally would feel better giving it a full six months. Same goes for the donor zone if you are hoping to fill in any FUE scarring but it is not a guarantee that the scars will take the ink very well. Sometimes scar tissue takes SMP well, sometimes it doesn't.
