Post-op bleeding?

I'm 4 days post-op and still getting blood on my pillowcase. Is this to be expected at this point? If so, when should it stop?

 

If it's relevant, my hair was short (1/2 inch) at the time of my HT, so the donor scar isnt yet covered with hair. Thanks.

Where is the bleeding coming from exactly?! 4 days? I was told by my physician that if bleeding occured to contact the clinic. I would possibly consider doing that, just to see what your physician recommends. Probably nothing to worry about, but better safe than sorry!!

Yes, it's from the donor. When I say "bleeding" its not like its oozing or anything...just isolated drops here and there that I notice upon waking up.

I'm sure you paid a lot of money for this procedure, and you've got a long road ahead. Do not hesitate to contact the doctor under any circumstances during this time; a good physician will most likely respond within a short time, even on the weekends and evenings - after all, they have a vested interest in both your health and a positive outcome, so don't keep them out of the loop of any concerns you have: it's unfair to them!

 

E-mail and call him/her NOW if you have concerns!!!

I don't think that's out of the ordinary.. Maybe you're putting too much strain on the scar? Don't hesitate to give your physician a call. But I don't think it's anything to worry about.
