Propecia - 5 years on...

Hi, I just wanted to share my story with everyone - especially all the young guys considering a hair transplant.

5 years ago at 22, my hair was receding and I was approaching a NW 3, although my crown was strong.

I was DESPARATE for a transplant and I very nearly went along with a local UK Doc but backed out at the last minute after finding this forum. Im just glad i didnt go through with it then.

I got on Propecia and it stopped my loss. I decided to be a bit creative with my hair styling and try a faux hawk, and used nanogen when i went out at weekends etc.

It allowed me to get on with my life and I still have, more or less, the same amount of hair today at 27. In that time I also got married and I am now a Dad.

I still worry about hair loss. I have noticed increased shedding in the last few months, which I expected.

But I now have a more mature head on my shoulders and I still want a hair transplant at some point in the future, probably with Dr Rahal. And now I'm a better candidate for one due to my age.

So for all you young guys out there, you CAN get through what is difficult time in your life. If you go through with a transplant now, you may regret it.
