Joint and muscle pain from Finesteride

I've started on Generic Finesteride taking 1mg a day. Have not experienced any other side effects.

 

After 4 month of treatment I've been getting painful, creaky joints and muscles. Just feel like my body is not as strong. I've always been fit and active that's why I'm sure its the finesteride. I'm thinking of lowering dose and taking every 2nd day.

 

Anyone else have similar experiences?

How do you know it is from finasteride?

Shortly after I started my finasteride regime my left ankle became unusually soar. Every time I stood up after sitting or sleeping it would hurt when I walked. I thought it might be the finasteride but the pain has since gone away. I really have no idea what the cause of the pain was but I think many of us jump to the conclusion that any changes in our bodies are side effects from medications. In short, yes I've experienced pain in certain joints/muscles after taking finasteride, but can't be sure that the medication was the cause. My hair does look better though!

From what i have read there are still only learning things on what DHT is responsible for so you just dont know !
