im not doing anything cardio gym and im six weeks post op.

all im worried about is this tightness and possible scar stretching.

i really cant live like this.

can someone please tell me it will be ok for to get on with a normal routine that i had pre op.

all i im reading is be careful for the first 3 months?

if i make it past the first three months without any stretching does that mean i am the clear.

i honestly didn't get a hair transplant and then have to sit on my ass on all day and worry and not be able to do the things i like.

i really wish i could have gone fue but i had 4500 grafts and will need 2500 more for my crown as im nw5. so that would really been tough for me but now im thinking perhaps i should have just take a few thousand fue and called it a day. cause this paranoia about scar streching is just too much. plus i have had some pretty bad shockloss that i have to conceal with dermmatch right now. i went to highly regarded doctor around here so i know i was in good hands and everything should be fine, but man it's really tough right now.

i really thought id be back to normal or atleast be able to go for a jog without any issues.

i contacted my clinic and they said just take it easy for another few weeks. which is fine and i will do that. my scar hasn't stretched so far but man this is stressful.

Pretty normal. It will dissipate slowly. I think you can carry on with your life avoiding the obvious excersise, etc. Also avoid tilting your head down too far.

I suspect you will feel much better by month 3. My issue was numbness which took over 2 years to fully go away which is way below the average. It was not too bad though and started getting better around month 6.

We all heal differently.

hey cant decide thanks for the reply i had my procedure with dr rahal as well.

everything looks on track except for the shockloss which is unpredictable and

this tightness which i guess you cant really know about either.

seeing you result definitely motivated me as my hair loss is pretty similar to ours.

it's just a tough time i guess. i think if i can make it to three months then i will feel alot better, its just not gonna be easy.

Just give up working out George, you come from a long line of quitters...

george,

I can verify that after my second HT, my scalp felt extremely tight. I was also a bit worried about that but it eventually returned to feeling normal.

It may take some time but, as other has said, the scalp will eventually adjust itself and you should feel just fine in time.

I had four separate strip procedures. Yes, with every one it felt tight for approximately 3 months post-op. By then you should notice it gaining laxity again and should not feel as tight.

Just be conscious of your activity as others have advised and give it time.

Happy growth to you! :)
