Regular Member Bones Posted April 26, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 26, 2013 I am going on almost 4 months post-op (3.5), and have started to have some good growth. There are a couple patchy places, but that is normal from what I have read. My question though is, I was initially scheduled to have 3000 grafts, but due to a scheduling problem only had the time to receive 2350 grafts, does that seem like it would be sufficient? The surgical assistant I spoke with immediately after surgery told me she did not even think I needed the higher number of grafts. Attached below are some photos. I appreciate the feedback, Thanks in advance.
Bonaparts
I am really not an expert, truly newbie here, received similar number of grafts 2300 on monday, 5 days post op now, I think it depends on your graft quality and donor area density, I received my FUE grafts on about 20 % smaller area than yours and doctor tolled me he placed mostly 3 - 5 and also 6 hair grafts, because I did not have many 1 hair grafts to even do the hairline I think at the moment it is hard to judge about your HT, because only after 9 - 12 months you can fully appreciate the result of your procedure, hope this helps Also before the surgery doctor tolled me he cannot give me more than 2500 because there is no space Edited April 27, 2013 by Bonaparts additional information

Senior Member GreatPelo Posted April 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 27, 2013 Bones, You're in a holding pattern for the next several months. Only time will tell if you'll have enough density. Light hair with light skin gives a better appearance of density than dark hair with light skin...so you have that benefit in your favor. Gotta wait at least 9-12 months to see the end result of your procedure. If you are happy...great! If you want more density, you can go in between what was done with more grafts.... Keep us posted on your progress!
Senior Member KO Posted April 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 27, 2013 I think it will be fine. You should see improvement, and you have good characteristics. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Regular Member Bones Posted April 28, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 28, 2013 Thanks, for the honest feedback, I will update on the outcome and progress. Attached are more before surgery photos. I seemed to have a lot of hair growth in months 2 and 3, and now it seems stagnant. Probably just my neurosis though. Only time will tell and if its not dense enough. I suppose I will have another procedure if that is the case. Thanks again for the feedback. Regular Member Raymond2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 29, 2013 How long was it before they told you the amount of grafts were placed? I have been wanting to know how many I got for 3 weeks and they still haven't told me. I am worried that the same thing happened to me. 2500 grafts + Acell/PRP progress with Dr.Cooley 4/12/13 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170209-my-2500-grafts-hair-transplant-w-prp-acell-treatment-journey-dr-cooley.html

First off, you actually look like you could have a good result, but it is very early too tell. However, I really can't see how a scheduling problem can be an acceptable excuse from a patients point of view. Did they give you any more detail? Had you paid up for 3,000 or what way did it work? Did you find out before, during or towards the end of the op that things had to finish early? 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega
Regular Member Bones Posted April 30, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 30, 2013 Raymond, I bet you got all the grafts you were supposed to get. I was told the number of grafts that I had received at the end of the 2nd day by the tech. The same one who told me that she didn't think I even needed the 3000 grafts. I was refunded the money for the grafts not performed, and the scheduling issue was due to me not having enough time, and the office being booked solid, it was not their fault. We basically started late due to my flight coming in late, and were not able to make up the time.
Regular Member Raymond2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 30, 2013 You were right bones, I just found out today and I actually received more then what I expected! It looks like you're going to get a very good result because you already had some really good coverage.
