Scar side vs back

Is there anyone that has issues with the scar on the side of the head versus the back?. In my case the hair density is greater in the back than the side ( don't know if this normally is the case, info on this would be appreciated). I have seen some photos where donor area really comes anteriorly. Opinions from surgeons also appreciated. In other words, is the scar on the side visible in some cases?

Bird,

The density should be the same on the sides and the back (assuming the strip was taken from the correct zone). How long ago did you have the procedure? You could be experiencing some shock loss on the sides of the scalp.

Look forward to your reply.

In reality, many men have a decrease in density on the sides compared to the density in the back but in a lot of cases there is a band of stronger dense hair that runs up higher on the sides. This is why most good clinics that perform strip do not take donor hair from too low on the sides. The hair lower down on the sides is subject to retro-grade alopecia so it is not considered to be the safe zone by better clinics.
