Has anybody else had to get numbing shots on the bridge of their eyebrows?

I'm just curious, my recipient area in the hairline wasn't numbing down with all the shots so Dr.Lindsey had to give me a couple shots if I remember right on the bridge of my eyebrows :o. Those were PAINFUL!! I'm just curious if anyone else ever had to go through that?

Like Jo stated, it's a supraorbital/supratrochlear

nerve block. It's one of the ways physicians can anesthetize the scalp before making recipient sites in the frontal scalp. I've personally seen the frontal anesthesia done both ways (directly into the recipient scalp and via a block), and I believe both are effective.

I saw this thread and figured I'd chime in to say I do it about twice a month on patients who are still feeling sharp pain with slit placement. Low and behold and I'm the character who placed these very nerve blocks.

So RCKhair...did they work? I don't know who you are...but I hope that it solved your pain while I was making slits!

And as I tell everyone I do this on...I've done it to myself previously so I know EXACTLY what it feels like.
