Are there any issues with the US's different health care system? Do you need private health insurance before a doctor will see you? Thanx.

A doctor or a doctor's representative would be able to give a more definitive answer. However, as far as I know, none of the doctors based in the US ask for any info regarding your private medical insurance. I have had 2 HT surgeries, and neither of the doctors asked me anything about my personal medical insurance.

 

So to answer your question, NO, there won't be any issues related to your health insurance.

As far as the hair transplant goes, as long as you pay in full for the surgery there should be no problem. You will, of course have to get your blood work done prior to the surgery, the required tests varies from clinic to clinic.

if ur going to the usa always get some sort of travel insurance that covers medical. there hospital/medical system is different from ours.

 

those americans will rob you blind at every opportunity they get and hospitals can be very expensive over there if anything goes wrong.

you need to tell your insurer about the proposed HT surgery so you can make sure youre covered in case of complications...It might make a difference in the premium you pay...
