GNX1 I'm not sure whether you are a physician, surgical tech, a patient or just a knowledgeable observer. Why not FUE? There are many factors that go into making the decision between FUE and FUT. I assume you are referring to the woman who had 352 grafts for a scarring alopecia and not 2108 grafts done on the patient whose picture appears above since I do not consider 2108 grafts a small FUE procedure. In this particular case of 352 grafts in a woman with scarring alopecia both FUT and FUE were discussed in detail with the patient. She and I came to the decision that FUT would be the more appropriate procedure for her. This decision was based on the additional cost of the FUE procedure, the fact that she had no interest in shaving any part of her donor area and the fact that a fine linear scar was of no concern. In addition a shorter operating time was very appealing to her. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for your inquiry.
