concentrate
I'm a NW2.5 and have found that I get pretty bad propecia side effects. It looks like my last hope is minoxidil, but I am worried that I will also get unwanted side effects from this. Just wanted to see how many minoxidil users have experienced side effects such as facial bloating, premature wrinkles, dark eye circles etc.? Also please state - 1) how long you have been on minoxidil 2) once or twice a day application Thanks!
Bill - Seemiller
concentrate, The most common side effect from Rogaine is an itchy scalp due to the propylene glycol found in Rogaine liquid. However, since Rogaine foam doesn't contain this ingredient, most users don't experience scalp irritation. Some have also claimed they've experienced sexual side effects from using minoxidil, but to date, I haven't seen any reported studies supporting this. I don't use Rogaine now, but I was using Rogaine foam twice a day for about a year all over the scalp without any side effects. I do genuinely feel it made my hair feel thicker however, I don't believe I personally experienced any growth from it. That said, all of my natural hair is pretty much gone and only transplanted hair remains. By using Rogaine, I was hoping to stimulate some natural hair regrowth, but this result is actually very rare. Rogaine however, is very good at slowing down, stopping or even reversing the effects of hair loss in many men. Thus, in my opinion, it may be worth a try. Rogaine and other minoxidil products can be purchased via our online hair loss treatment shop. Best wishes, Bill

ncognito
9 months and no sides. Once a night application of foam. I was curious, do you double up on the amount, because you're only using it once a day?
Senior Member 1978matt Posted January 26, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 26, 2013 I was curious, do you double up on the amount, because you're only using it once a day? I'm probably using 2.5 capfulls as a fair bit gets caught in my hair. I just try to get a good amount on the scalp, then let it dry. It makes too much of a mess in the morning which is why i do once a day rather than the recommended two. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

lomew
Hey Guys i think that Minoxidil is used to activate hair regrowth and to slowly hair loss. It is most effective for people under 40 years of age whose thinning hair is latest. Minoxidil has no effect on higher hairlines. It does not treat baldness most new hair is missing within a few months after the medication is ceased.Minoxidil may cause adverse reactions. Tell your physician if any of these signs are serious or do not go away:scalp itchiness, dry skin, climbing, cracking, discomfort, or burning. Thanks a lot!!
