Regular Member gladaki Posted November 10, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 10, 2012 Rogaine, minoxidal or lipogaine all of them are minoxidal. My question is What is best way to apply Minoxidal or Rogaine... kindly tell from how long you are using it with results. Also if you have long or short hair So we can judge the best way Thanks
Senior Member 1978matt Posted November 10, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 10, 2012 I use it from crown to hairline (I'm an emerging NW 4A approx) and my hair is about 2 inches long and messy. Shaking the can and then spraying walnut sided amounts in between hair I then massage it in. I probably use about 2 capfuls, or enough until I can tell my scalp has a decent coating of the stuff. I only use it at night. It has worked quite well and I've used it for 7 months now. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Regular Member JohnKnee Posted November 18, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2012 I started using 2% Rogaine liquid at first and moved on to 5% Kirkland liquid after a few months. Rogaine comes with a spray adapter and works great but not so with 5%. Since the release of foam, my routine is 5% Kirkland foam (1.5 caps) and 5% Kirkland liquid at night with the drop applicator; apply from crown to hairline, including temples. I have been using Minoxidil for almost 2 years with 2% Nizoral (M-W-F). I have added 1mg Propecia ~4 months ago and experience good regrowth and thickening of hair. I keep my hair short (1 inch) for two purposes; less Minoxidil to apply and reduce the appearance of thinning area due to newly fine hair regrowth.
