Senior Member MyNameIsRich Posted May 22, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 22, 2012 So I am using the 2% twice a week, I will wash my hair with regular shampoo, rinse, and then apply the Nizoral, only to the top section of my head, leave for 3 minutes and then rinse out. I am finding that the smallest blob (maybe the size of two average sized peas) from the bottle can lather up a decent amount to cover the top of my head, but I am just worried that I am being too reserving and not applying enough. what would be the correct amount to apply? Also, is it worth shampooing 3 times a week, or? Click to check my hair blog.
Bill - Seemiller
MyNameIsRich, In my experience, using Nizoral 2% more than twice a week can lead to dry hair and a potentially itchy/dry scalp. But I imagine everyone has a slightly different experience. It sounds like you're using a fine amount of Nizoral to me. You could also consider alternating it with Revita shampoo, which is much gentler on the hair and still contains 1% ketoconazole. I hope this helps. Senior Member HARIRI Posted May 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 23, 2012 Also if you dont like Nizoral as it may dry out your hair. Check out Regenepure Shampoo.. Here is a review about it. I ordered it already as a replacement to Nizoral. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIismbS0Cic&list=UU1GQNN5Qo-31S8enuYfXcsg&index=8&feature=plcp Plug removal + Strip scar revision - Dr. Ali Karadeniz (AEK)- May 23, 2015 Plug removal + 250 FUE temple points- Dr. Hakan Doganay (AHD)- July 3, 2013 Scar Tricopigmentation- Dr. Koray Erdogan (ASMED)- May 3, 2013 2500 FUT (Hairline Repair)- Dr. Rahal- July 26, 2011 My Hair Treatments: 1- Alpecin Double Effect Shampoo (Daily) 2- Regaine Solution Minoxidil 5% (2 ml once a day) 3- GNC Ultra NourishHair™ (Once a day) 4- GNC Herbal Plus Standardized Saw Palmetto (Once a day) My Rahal HT thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164456-2500-fut-dr-rahal-hairline-repair.html[/size]
