Senior Member wb280 Posted May 15, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2012 hi guys, i know this topic has prob been discussed over and over again but i simply cannot find a thread that encompasses all my questions so i thought of posting a new thread. Here goes 1) With all the big hoo ha abt Propecia and the lawsuit, what exactly are the main side effects are we talking about? Decrease in libido and/ or less than ideal erection? The latter can probably be fixed by cialis and viagra. I know there are tons of other side effects but i assume these are the main ones? 2) I am planning to start consuming probably once in 3 days and observe myself for any anomalies before increasing the dosage. Typically, it takes half a year to see any form of result? Also, does consuming less than the required dosage mean that its useless? thanks guys! wb280 View my hair loss website. Senior Member RCWest Posted May 15, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2012 Hey Wb! Long time no see. Why haven't you updated your hair loss website? I've been really eager to see your results! I have had zero problems with either Finasteride or Dutasteride. You just have to try and see. You may want to try Spex's dosing schedule for transitioning onto Finasteride. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/160300-propecia-finasteride-transition-theory.html Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Senior Member wb280 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 16, 2012 Hey RC! long time no see and thanks for responding. U know the reason dude, it will just create a lot of unnecessary backlash which i m not interested in at all. However, everyone whom i show my photos to ALL agreed that my first surgery was a failure. Its ok, shit happens and we move on, just that this 'shit' really means the world to me and it failed....... u can imagine how disappointed and upset i was and still am... Anyway to cut things short, i am embarking on this route to try out propecia after a v long internal struggle. I will also be going for 2nd surgery under Dr Ron Shapiro. Janna has been nothing but totally professional and i trust my 2nd surgery will finally set it right View my hair loss website. Senior Member HARIRI Posted May 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 16, 2012 I feel you WB280. I'm sorry that your surgery with Dr. Path was a failure. Im sure that Dr. Ron Shapiro will fix you up, he is really a good choice when it comes to repairs and using the grafts wisely. I really wished you would post your latest photos in your blog so members realize that you were true because they cant judge with only 4.5 months post op. At least add 2-3 photos to show your hair one year post op if possible. Take care and will pray for you. Senior Member RCWest Posted May 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 16, 2012 Sorry to hear that Wb! I never heard that your surgery with Dr. Path was a failure. Hard to believe something went wrong with his work. I'm glad to see you are pursuing a second attempt with the great Dr. Ron Shapiro. If his work doesn't go right, then it must be your physiology. Best of luck to you!! When is your surgery planned? Senior Member wb280 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 16, 2012 Hariri, i just really would like to move on and it was really not as satisfactory as i had hoped, and so far everyone who has seen have agreed so... In any case, let me think about it... Most imptly, i would like to concentrate on the 2nd op, and i am v confident Dr Shapiro will fix it. Its scheduled this june which is like a month away RC, with all due respect, i seriously doubt it was my physio. I am 35, i dun drink and smoke and exercise a ton and has no weird habits of any kind. Its easy to blame physio but it really aint the reason. No matter what, somehow i m v confident the 2nd time will work Confidence is v impt my friend, how else to last 1 whole year waiting for new babies to sprout out Anyway hows ur experience with propecia?
