Senior Member hair1978 Posted April 4, 2012 Senior Member Posted April 4, 2012 Hello fellow baldies. I've past my 3rd month post op, and bits of hair is starting to grow. But hair growth is so slow that you cannot stare at the mirror and watch it grow. The worse (shedding) part has past, and feeling optimistic that it's all uphill from here. I like to know how other transplant patients wash their hair in the shower? I usually lather the soap and use the palm of my hands and fingers and "pat" on my transplant area. And let the shampoo sit there for about 30-60 seconds. I don't use fingernails through my head because I'm paranoid I might scratch out the hair. Is there a correct technique? And how often do you shampoo? I usually shampoo every other day. Thanks all. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294
Senior Member Dutch Posted April 4, 2012 Senior Member Posted April 4, 2012 Hello. You're safe now. You can do what you like but I don't use my nails either out of paranoia but it won't pull your hair out since its been 3 months. Just wash it like you would normally do. Why leave the shampoo in for a minute or less, just lather it & rinse it. I use baby shampoo & conditioner. I wash it once a day. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
