Senior Member NEWHAIRPLEASE Posted January 28, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2012 Hypothetically...1000-1500...however, with your coverage I wouldn't waste those grafts in the crown! Keep taking meds and save them for later...may never need them...if you tell me your age, for example, when you are in your late 30s or early 40s, then you could address your crown..how old are you? Senior Member Shampoo Posted January 28, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2012 Have been taking meds for years. What meds? If you have been taking propecia for years I am a bit surprised you already have this crown thinning at such an early age. Do you take propecia every single day with no periods of months where you are skipping? Senior Member Shampoo Posted January 28, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2012 Sorry, it was not obvious to me when you state "Have been taking meds for years"and now add there were gaps where you didnt take it. Meds can react differently with each patient. If however propecia does work for you and you stay on it, then I think you are going to be fine with very little crown balding progression and could be thrilled with about 1200 grafts in a couple of years if you decide to do it. However if you dont stay on propecia I would be of the opinion that your very minor crown thinning could progress to a pretty significant bald spot by the time you're 40 in 13 years.
