Senior Member irishsailor Posted November 20, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 20, 2011 Hi, was just curious to how long after a HT is it deemed safe to go to a hot climate on holiday?. I had my HT 3 weeks ago, but have just arranged to go to mexico in 3 weeks time:) Is 6 weeks long enough for the recipient area to heal before getting a tan? or is it better to keep a cap on when out in the sun? Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted November 20, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 20, 2011 Yes you are safe to go at this point usually for the first 4 weeks you need to be careful not to get sunburned on the recipient area. I would still urge you to apply protective lotion to the areas that were worked on just to be safe. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own.
