notobald Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Seems easy to find journals and photos of guys and their transplant results during the 1st year and into the 2nd year post-op. But why is it I can't find any info on how transplants are holding up 5 or 10 or more years down the road?
Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted November 14, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 14, 2011 The transplanted hairs are permanent so they will not fall out in 5-10 years. You may go on to lose native hair as you age, that's why you see people going for more procedures to fill in those gaps, but medications such as propecia and rogaine can drastically limit the amount you actually need to replenish. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Robert True and Dr. Robert Dorin are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
