Hello,

Does any one have experience with Dr. Ron Zieve of the Hair Restoration Specialists (Atlanta)?

I noticed a billboard on the way to work advertising for $2 / graft and the the phone number, so I decided to check them out. It turns out to be $2 / graft after the first 1,000, but the total procedure will cost around $6000 for 2000 grafts. I thought that seemed like a good deal, but I want more information and reviews. I can't seem to find any on this site though.

I googled and found good reviews from people on other websites, but I am wary because anyone can just sign up and post on google reviews and the like. I really am hoping someone here has tried them out and can share their experience / review / photos.

Any help or advice is appreciated!

I wouldn't get a HT with someone just because it was cheap. That will end up costing you much more in the long run if it turns out to be a bad HT job, and not just monetarily. It may cost you more, but go with one of the docs recommended by this forum. That way you'll at least know what type of result to expect.

Yeah, I definitely am leaning towards your viewpoint. I am thinking of going with the recommended doctor in Michigan. He's more expensive, but like you said, if it turns out bad, it can cost more than just money in the long run. Better to pay a little more now and be safe. However, I thought if people did have good experiences with this center, they could share, and I would consider it. No one has chimed in yet.

Of course I'm still deciding on whether I should go through with the hair transplant or not! I asked in the other discussion forum and people are commenting right now. I am leaning towards doing it, but seems like some say I should take the meds first and hold off for a bit.

Just the $2 billboard scam would send me running away. This is a life changing and medical/health decision so yes you should consider it but look elsewhere. If you are in Atlanta and you are ok with a strip surgery go see Dr. Griffin in Perimeter area. He has a great reputation although and very good at what he does.

I'd recommend Dr. Griffin for hair transplantation in Atlanta. Good luck!

I have been losing my hair since I was about 26 years old. It started off just thinning and then I realized that over time I was losing a large amount. I felt poorly about myself and I decided to do something about it. I know of a few places that do hair restoration but the one that stuck out to me was HRS. I remember watching Ron Zieve on the commercials when I was younger. I see the billboards all over town. I don't think there is anything wrong with the advertising $2 per graft after the first 1,000 grafts. Otherwise, ignorant people would go in and ask for 200 grafts and try and get a transplant for $400 and then complain when there's not enough hair. Serious inquiries like myself actually would do the research and know that you are correct thebmk, that is a good deal.

I did get my hair transplant done at HRS with Dr. Ron Zieve and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I think they have a very professional organization going, and the medical team was great at helping me to relax. I had a great experience and I am glad I made the decision. I went back in for my 6 month graft check and they sat me down and discussed my progress with me and showed me my before photos. The seemed so old, and we couldn't believe the significant results I already achieved.

I am very excited to see how I look for the rest of my life. I don't know if you already went to the doctor in Michigan, if so, how were your results?

1 post - no pics - no history here - yeah, how were YOUR results? No pics = no HT.

I'm serious.  Just look at my face.
