king123
Hello every one,I am one of the hair loss patient, After researching for almost 5 months i found Dr. Venkat (Bangalore) and Dr.Madhu (Hyderabad) profile looks good to me, Hear i would like to explain the clear consultation details with Dr. Venkatram Mysore The day before my consultation called venkat chermalaya and booked appointment at Next day 5:00 PM, the lady who picked my call was given information about how to reach their center. Due to the traffic i was late and called the Hospital that i will reach 15 to 20 min late, they said its ok and asked me to come before 6:00 PM. I went in to the hospital which was air conditioned, small longer can sit 20 people, an LCD displaying photos of HT pre and post surgical photos.I went directly to the reception were asked me to pay 250/- for consultation and entered my name date of birth and contact details in computer and gave me a card with my details and a consultation sheet. And then asked me to go in to a small room where there is a computer and the completely bald man asked me to sit and read around 25 power point sheets which explains the causes of hair loss and its treatments. Behind me a doctor who was also slightly bald i think he was anesthesia playing with his iphone. From there i was asked to go in to the junior doctor who was next to the Dr. Venkat, she asked how long i was been loosing my hair, smoking, hereditary and other questions and wrote everything in consultation sheet and asked me to go and show the sheet in the reception, she asked me to come back if i need any more information about HT after scanning, but i decided to ask all my questions only Dr. Venkat. Reception-They asked me to pay 500/- for scanning, i paid with my card and asked me to go to the same computer room hear again the bold man took around 10 photos with micro camera and gave me photographs in A4 size paper. I went in to the Dr. Venkatraman room he was checking emails noticed and asked me to sit took my consultation sheet & scan report by seeing that he started explaining about hair loss and the methods to prevent (he was not started with HT procedure may be i was not completely bald, but my crown area was very thin). Then he switched on the light on my head and watched for 2 sec. and started telling about the medication procedure, then i interrupted him and asked about HT then he again came to my head and said front portion needs 1500 grafts total area 2500 grafts, said that he need 9 moths for better results after HT. He suggested me to take medication (Minoxidil 5%& Finax tab.) for 2 months and then see the results if not satisfied then go for HT. Thats all he again turned to the laptop and i left the room. Positive *Good environment *Step by step procedure to consult Doc. (reception-Junior Doc.-Scanning- Dr.Venkat) * Venkat explained clearly like a tape recorder (may be experienced from many peatations) * I found every employee was polite. * Doc's profile was good * I found doctor was personally sending emails to every one (i request every one take your photo graphs and ask suggestion directly by email) (Link removed by moderator - See Terms of Service) Negative * Wearing shoes inside the hosp. * Computer operator and anesthesia was bald (why don't they go for HT) * I cannot see any positive posts in the Internet about the doctor (except - 2) * Found impressive CV but Lack of professionalism. (from Internet) Overall i suggest this doctor for consultation. Planing to consult my second one Dr. Madhu (Hyderabad) and will post the experience ASAP. People do post your replies and suggest me about this two doctors (i will attach my photos with in a week) Edited September 21, 2011 by king123
Senior Member RCWest Posted September 21, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 21, 2011 I'd suggest Dr. Madhu. He has been prescreened by the HTN and does good clean work. Have you looked at his before/after photos on here? Dr. Pathuri Madhu Hair Transplant Surgeon in Hyderabad, India Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Regular Member nicksam086 Posted April 17, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted April 17, 2014 For people who are looking for feedback about Venkataraman, for gods sake, please don`t go to him. I would say, don`t for FUT method itself. FUE is the safest one. I hate this doctor because, I wanted to get FUE, but then he said that FUE wont yield much. It might be true. But the real fact is is not skilled enough to perform FUE and is forcing people to get FUT done.

Regular Member pradeepbr Posted December 26, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted December 26, 2017 I had Mega hair transplant with Dr Venkatram Mysore in Oct 2016. He said he planted over 4400 grafts (FUT - 2700 , FUE - 1100, BHT - 660. The result is very poor growth. I got 40% growth in FUT, 15% growth in FUE, 0 % growth in BHT. The scar resulting from FUT is minimal and FUE is negligent. I paid close to $5500. I am now depleted with donor hair, only some expert in Body hair transplant can bring me out from norwood 5 to norwood 2 or 3 level. I can now truly understand why he does not provide results in his website.
