When can you have a haircut after HT

Hi Guys,

I buzzed my hair grade 1 all over for my HT. I may keep it buzzed grade 1 for a year until growth appears - is this a good idea will it effect growth or grafts? Also, how long do I have to wait before I can buzz the implanted hairs with a trimmer? Thanks

Did you get strip or FUE? If strip, then why would you keep it at grade 1? The scar will be very noticeable. Cutting your hair won't affect the growth of the grafts. Just don't aggressively rub your shaved noggin! ;)

I wouldn't keep it so short for a year. It will be impossible to see the full effects of the result during this time. I would recommend that if you want to keep it short do so for the first three months or until you begin to see signs of life then let it all grow out at the same time. The grafts won't all come in at once but it will allow you to better judge the results as they unfold.

Cheers guys, I was a diffused thinner but covered it well with concealers such as Dermmatch and Toppik and COurve but i'm worried that when I go back to work and eventually when the grafts fall out i will look pretty thin on top, i've heard concealers can damage or hinder grafts and growth, so i'm thinking of keeping my hair short but how short i do not know yet as I may just show the scar off - it looks cool x
