Senior Member aaron1234 Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 I'm glad you've had the same experience at month 6 and that it eventually reversed, what i'd like to figure out is why and how common this is, in order to understand if/what i should be doing about this? I haven't found any posts talking of the subject so i suspect its not that common. If it is the transplanted hair shedding cycle, why does it seem so significant, since it doesn't seem to happen to normal hair on the back of your head? and does this occur repeatedly or just once? I'm not sure if this is what you are experiencing or not. Hair on the back of your head cycles too, but it's probably just not as noticeable because you have more density in that area. I'd look into getting on Finasteride if you are not already. Bottom line is that you are only 6 months post-op. Be patient and wait out a full year. You'll definitely notice more changes up to that point and possibly beyond. Senior Member Gandolf Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 Differentiating between which HT doctor is best out of Rahal, Hasson, and Shapiro is like asking whether you would rather have a one night stand with Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, or Anne Hathaway. There truly is no right or wrong answer.
Senior Member orlhair1 Posted June 9, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 9, 2012 @Bobo: You definitely go through periods during the first year when at times it is thicker than others. Probably just the natural cycle and the maturity of the HT. Over the course of the last couple of months (months 10 & 11 particularly) , my HT thickened and matured significantly. So hang in there. @Gandolf: I agree!
