Senior Member JayWalker Posted September 6, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 6, 2011 Okay, just getting the preparation done for my upcoming op in October. Ive had my HIV test at the local GUM clinic, but the tests for Hep B and C and metabolic profile, im not so sure about. Will my GP have this on record? not sure if they will test for this, for me, upon request? What have other UK guys done about testing? Be interested to hear. Dr. Glenn Charles
Your GP will probably only have a metabolic profile on record because that is a routine lab test that you most likely have already had. It is not likely that they would have a Hep B and C unless you already tested for it. Some clinics here in the states require these lab tests while others only ask for your most recent bloood work from GP.
